DARYLLE KELLY

Darylle, one of Australia's foremost artistic jewellers based in Melbourne designs, sculpts and hand crafts, and distributes to galleries and clients throughout Australia.

Her jewellery, sometimes described as wearable art, has a unique style, characterised by organic flowing lines with sculptural relief to highlight the best features of the gemstone, and is ideally suited to South Sea pearls and Australian opals.

Her interests in the arts initially led to a career in teaching art and craft to disabled children in schools  for special education.  During this time she developed her interest in the "lost wax" technique which has become her jewellery art form.

A qualified Gemmologist and fellow of the Gemmological  Association of Australia  (F.G.A.A.) and councillor of its Victorian division, Darylle also has a string interest in the science of the universe, geology and fossils.  She has a great love of the Australian outback in particular the opal fields of which she visits regularly to gain inspiration for her work.  She is also involved in  other art forms including life drawing which has influenced the development of her organic style.

During her career she has lived and worked in the UK, Queensland and Victoria.

Her work includes rings, pendants ,brooches and earrings, in gold silver, with or without gemstones or pearls.  It is also available at a number of galleries and other outlets throughout Australia.
